Most Atlantis visitors arrive by cruise ship — but if you are flying into Nassau (LPIA) and heading straight to Atlantis, the route is different and your options are different too. This guide covers every way to get from Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport to Atlantis Paradise Island, with 2026 prices and honest advice on which to choose.
Distance and context
Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) is on the western side of New Providence island. Atlantis is on Paradise Island, connected to Nassau by the Paradise Island Bridge. The total distance is approximately 12 miles (19 km). Without traffic, the drive takes 20–25 minutes. During peak cruise-ship hours (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) and evening rush, the bridge becomes congested and the journey can take 40–50 minutes.
There is no direct public transit from the airport to Atlantis. Your realistic options are taxi, private transfer, or shared shuttle.

Getting back to the airport from Atlantis
✓Ask your hotel or the resort concierge to arrange a return taxi. They can call a reliable driver directly.
✓Allow extra time — add 30 minutes to your estimated travel time if flying out between noon and 7 p.m. Bridge traffic is unpredictable.
✓International flights — arrive at LPIA at least 2.5 hours before departure. Security and immigration lines can be long on busy cruise days.
✗Do not rely on hailing a taxi from the resort entrance — availability is inconsistent, especially during peak checkout times (10–11 a.m.).
