Passport: Everything You Need to Know

The Mexican passport is the only valid identity document for entering the Bahamas. The INE voter card, driver's license, or any other Mexican identity document is not accepted for international travel.

Your passport must be in good condition (no torn pages or illegible stamps), must have at least one blank page for the entry stamp, and while the Bahamas does not formally require minimum validity beyond your stay duration, standard practice is to carry at least 6 months of extra validity.

Minors: Children under 18 must travel with their own passport. If traveling without both parents, a notarized permission letter from the absent parent is highly recommended, though the Bahamas does not officially require it.
